Funding Priorities of the Blooming Juniper Foundation
The Foundation makes grants in the following areas:
A. Education
The Foundation aims to promote education by way of scholarships to deserving and needy students and by way of support to rural schools.
- The Foundation donates new high-quality computers to select rural schools that would otherwise lack the financial means to offer information and communication technology education to their students.
- The foundation currently provides scholarships to deserving and needy students of the Chiang Mai University and of the Chiang Mai Rajabhat University.
- Considering that low-literacy skills are directly linked to higher unemployment, less earned income and poor health, the Foundation funds the purchase of books for school libraries.
- The Foundation funds infrastructure projects at select schools in rural Thailand.
- The Foundation provides financial support for school children in some of the poorest areas of rural Thailand.
B. Medicine and Healthcare
- The Foundation funds select hospitals that provide healthcare to under-served communities so that these hospitals may expand their services.
- The Foundation supports the Pioneer Fellowship Programme of the Swiss Polytechnic Institute so that young researchers may develop highly innovative products or services in the field of Health & Life Science for the benefit of society.
- The Foundation supports the emergency aid organisation Médecins Sans Frontières.
